Sighthound Life Skills Course (Tuesday)
4 weeks of real skills, built for the way sighthounds actually think.

Description
Greyhounds, whippets, lurchers, salukis, galgos… sighthounds are wonderful, but they're not exactly your typical dog. They think differently, move differently, and learn differently, and that means generic training advice doesn't always cut it. This course is built around them. Not trying to fit them into a mould, just working with who they actually are. Whether you've just brought an ex-racing greyhound home for the first time and feel a bit out of your depth, or you've got a sensitive dog who finds the world a bit much, this is the starting point that makes everything else easier. Over 4 weeks you'll work on the things that actually matter in everyday life: building engagement and focus, loose lead walking foundations, recall (yes, really), calmness and settling, and growing confidence, for both of you. Sessions are kept small and calm deliberately to limit overwhelm, with practical training at a pace that suits your dog. There's no expectation of perfect behaviour here. No pressure to have it all figured out before you arrive. Just a supportive, non-judgemental space where you and your dog can start figuring things out together. Limited to 6 training stations per course, so your dog gets the attention they need (each training station can accommodate more than one dog from the same household). Please note: this course is priced per dog. If you have more than one dog from the same household you'd like to bring, please contact me directly before booking so I can make sure we accommodate you. After the course, graduates are welcome to join the Sighthound Life Skills Club for ongoing support, real-life practice, and a community of people who completely understand why their dog just stared blankly at them instead of sitting.

Cancellation Policy
Payment for classes is for a block of consecutive weeks; non-attendance will result in a loss of that week (unless the class is cancelled by All That Jazz Dog Training Academy, in which case we will carry the class payment forward to the end of your block). Should classes be postponed due to extreme weather or other restrictions those classes will be presented via an online platform or postponed until the following week. Should you have any doubt if training may be cancelled e.g. weather conditions etc., please call, check your emails, texts, and voicemails, we will also put notifications of cancellation on our Facebook page. Payments for classes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please ensure you arrive on time for your class to avoid any disruption to the other dogs and owners that are already working. All dogs must be on a lead at all times, regardless of if your dog has a good recall or is friendly with other dogs. Any injury to a person or a dog is the sole responsibility of the owner. Puppies must be fully vaccinated at the beginning of the first class. It is the owner’s responsibility to keep up to date with your dog’s annual vaccinations. Please pick up all dog poo and place it in the bins provided. Children are very welcome to attend training classes, we encourage the whole family to participate in their dog's training, however, due to the nature of our business we ask that children stay with their parents/guardians. Children should not be running around and they must not approach other dogs or play with/on any equipment. It is the parent’s/guardian's sole responsibility for their child’s safety. We take some great pictures and videos throughout our classes please follow and like our Facebook page where we regularly upload our pictures.
