Puppy Foundations Course

The Puppy Foundations Course is a 7-week programme designed to give your puppy the practical skills they need for everyday life, while helping you feel confident and supported from the very start. Hall based sessions focused on real life skills, delivered in a calm, supportive environment with individual guidance throughout. Week 7. Graduation (real-world practice). A short walk to practice learned skills, followed by calm settling in a pub environment to help bridge the gap between training and everyday life. Small Classes, By Design Classes are limited to a maximum of six puppies, allowing for better focus, individual support, and a calmer learning experience for both puppies and their humans. Sighthound Life Skills Foundations Course
4-Week Foundations Course
Real-life training designed specifically for greyhounds and other sighthounds… because "sit" isn't always on the menu.
£99 per dog
Greyhounds, whippets, lurchers, salukis, galgos… sighthounds come in all shapes, sizes and personalities, and we love them all. But they're not exactly your typical dog. They think differently, move differently, and learn differently, and that means generic training advice doesn't always cut it. This course is built around them. Not trying to fit them into a mould, just working with who they actually are. Whether you've just brought a greyhound home for the first time and feel a bit out of your depth, or you've got a sensitive dog who finds the world a bit much, this is the starting point that makes everything else easier. Over 4 weeks you'll work on the things that actually matter in everyday life: building engagement and focus, loose lead walking foundations, recall (yes, really), calmness and settling, and growing confidence, for both of you. What you'll work on Building engagement and focus in a way that suits your dog Loose lead walking foundations Recall foundations (realistic for sighthounds, we promise) Calmness and settling at home and out and about Confidence building for dog and owner Understanding your dog, how they think, how they learn, and why they do what they do Small Classes, By Design Sessions are kept small and calm deliberately to limit overwhelm, with practical training at a pace that suits your dog. Limited to 4 training stations per course, so every dog gets the attention and space they need. What's Included 4 structured small group sessions Kind, reward-based, welfare focused training A non-judgemental, supportive environment Guidance tailored to sighthound breeds specifically A clear pathway into the Sighthound Life Skills Club for continued support £99 per dog Spaces are limited due to small class sizes. Suitable for ex-racing greyhounds, sensitive or easily overwhelmed dogs, and sighthounds of any age with little or no previous training experience. Please note: this course is priced per dog. If you have more than one dog from the same household you'd like to bring, please contact me directly before booking so I can make sure we accommodate you.

Sighthound Life Skills Club
Ongoing support | Real-life practice | Sighthound community
Training, support, and real-life practice for the sensitive, speedy, wonderfully weird dogs we love.
The Sighthound Life Skills Club is where real progress happens. The course gives you the foundations, the club helps you actually live with them. Most sighthounds need time, repetition, and real-world practice to build on what they've learned, and that's completely normal. The club gives you the space to keep going, without being left to figure it out on your own after your course ends. This isn't about perfect obedience. It's about building a dog who's calmer, more confident, and easier to live with, in the real world, with ongoing support alongside you every step of the way. What the Club includes Fortnightly training sessions Monthly meet-ups for real-life practice (walks, cafés, public spaces) Continued guidance and support Calmness and confidence building around other dogs and people Ongoing troubleshooting and support A friendly WhatsApp group for members A like-minded community of sighthound owners who completely get it Who it's for The club is open to graduates of the Sighthound Life Skills Foundations Course. It's perfect for owners who want continued guidance, sighthounds who need more time and repetition and people who enjoy training and want to keep going long-term. Interested in the Club? The club is launching soon. To register your interest or find out more, get in touch directly and I'll make sure you're first to hear when spaces open up.
